Rick's Story

Rick grew up in the City of Detroit and attended Bishop Gallagher High School (1978).  After playing basketball and graduating from Highland Park Community College (1980) and Siena Heights University (1982), he attended the Oakland Police Academy.  Thereafter, he served as a police officer for the City of East Detroit (Eastpointe) from 1984-1988.  In 1991, Rick graduated from Thomas M. Cooley Law School’s night program while serving as a Circuit Court Law Clerk to the Honorable Alexander C. Perlos in Jackson.

 

Upon graduation, Rick was hired by Potter & Hamilton, a Jackson firm focusing on litigation including: insurance defense; medical malpractice; personal injury; divorce; real estate; contracts; probate; etc.  For the last 20 years, he has focused on insurance defense (Auto-Owners Insurance Company) and personal injury claims.

 

Rick is a parishioner at the Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church and is active in the Jackson Community where he and his wife Cammie raised their four children.

 

After turning 65, Rick stepped back from his active lower Michigan practice to allow even more time to conduct mediations/facilitations.

David's Story

David was born and raised in Jackson, graduating from Lumen Christi High School in 1993. He played football/baseball/golf at Kalamazoo College and graduated in 1997. David attended Wayne State University Law School and graduated in 2001.

​

Upon graduation, David was hired by Sachs Waldman, P.C. in Detroit, representing plaintiffs in personal injury claims for three years. Thereafter, he was with Best, Heyns, Schroeder & Best, P.C. in Jackson, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury, workers compensation and Social Security Disability claims. For the last four years, David has worked with Rick, focusing on insurance defense and personal injury claims.

 

David is a parishioner at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and is involved in the Jackson community, where he and his wife Annie are raising their four children.

Rich's Story

Rich graduated from Portland High School in 1990.  He graduated from Albion College in 1994 (B.A., Political Science/Pre-Law) and Western Michigan University in 2001 (Master of Public Administration).

 

Rich has been a paralegal for over 25 years and has worked for Rick since 2012.

 

Rich is a member of Sandstone Congregational Church and the Jackson Area Emmaus Community.  He and his wife Gretchen have raised two children.
